MARTHA CULHAM WARD
From: FamilySearch Family Tree ~

  9. MARIA CULHAM (1809–Deceased)
  10. CAROLINE CULHAM SHARMAN (1813–Deceased)
(NOTE): comment regarding the second-born CULHAM daughter…pointed out by another FamilySearch member is that ANN TURPIN CULHAM KURTZ was not known by the name “Turpin” during her lifetime as her second or middle name....and that the full-name was "from christening record although she was only really known as Ann" by MyaDromey: June 12, 2015
The name most certainly does appear on her Christening record, but to keep in mind would be that having just lost their first-born child and daughter [ANN TURPIN CULHAM] John and Ann may have chosen their second-born daughter’s Christening name in honor of her older sister who’d just died. The name was also given to the couples first-born son. But equally if not of more merit is a definite pattern of naming tradition in several inter-generational examples of the surname 'Culham' appearing as a proper first, and second or middle masculine name among direct descendants
MARTHA CULHAM was born November 25 1807 at Yarmouth, Norfolk, England, the third daughter and fourth of ten children born to ANN TURPIN and the Reverend JOHN CULHAM.
MARTHA was Christened at the Church of St. Nicholas, at Yarmouth on October 12 1807 (Description and Photo of St. Nicholas Parish Church from: http://www.norfolkchurches.co.uk/gynicholas/gynicholas.htm )
On December 13 1825 at York, Ontario: MARTHA CULHAM was wed to ANDREW WARD [son of ABRAHAM and ANN CHAPMAN WARD]
MARTHA CULHAM WARD died March 29 1874 at Brampton, Peel, Ontario.
She is buried next to ANDREW at the Islington Burial Grounds--also known as--Pioneers Cemetery, Etobicoke, Toronto Municipality, Ontario, Canada.
