Ann W, or Anna O, Culmer was born on 23 Jul 1832 in Woodnesborough, Deal, Kent, England to parents Stephen Culmer and Sarah Cecil Woodruff. She was christened on 23 Sep 1832 in Woodnesborough, Kent, England.[1] 1832 is also stated in the 1911 handwritten Culmer family history and supported by the immigration from England to America in Nov 1834 which shows Ann age 2.[2] 1833 is shown on the tombstone and is incorrect.
She immigrated to America at age 2 in 1834 with her family. They settled in Pennsyvlania.
At age 15 in 1850 she was living with her parents and siblings in West Deer, Allegheny, Pennsylvania.[3]
Ann Culmer married Howard Crooke on 6 April 1854 in Bedford, Lawrence County, Indiana. [4]

Sarah Nancy Crooke b 31 Aug 1858 and married James Albert Burrell. She died 21 May 1945 in Orange County, California.
Fannie Culmer Crooke b 28 Feb 1861 and married Stephen Olly Culmer.
Margaret Ann Crooke b 6 Mar 1863 and married Belden D Smiley. She died 14 April 1944 in Orange County, California.
Harry Howard Crooke b 18 Jan 1867 and married Margaret Louvinia Mason. He died 15 Dec 1948 in Fullerton, Orange County, California.
Lillie Blanch Crooke b 24 Feb 1872 and married Willis E Edgin. She died 30 Dec 1964 in Loma Linda, San Bernardino County, California.
Ann Crooke died 26 Jun 1892 in Odon, Daviess County, Indiana. Her obituary appeared in the Odon Journal on 2 Jul 1892. She was buried in the Walnut HIll Cemetery in Daviess County, Indiana. Three years later, her husband Howard Crooke was buried alongside her. [8]
