Biography

Kevin was born in September 21, 1955 at old St. John's Hospital in St. Louis, on the same day as Rocky Marciano's final career fight. The source of his first name is not known to this author, but his middle name "Larry" was an homage to his maternal uncle and baptismal sponsor, Lawrence "Larry" Gottschamer.

In his youth, he played baseball, tennis, and football, and also wrestled. He stood 5'9 1/2" at his peak, with dark hair verging on black, and hazel eyes.

He graduated in 1974 from Riverview Gardens High School in North St. Louis County, where he lettered in Tennis and was a member of the Choir.

He loved rock music, including Elvis, the Beach Boys, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, the Who, and even Metallica. Starting in the early-mid 90s, he also developed a strong affinity for country music, with George Strait being by far his favorite artist of that genre.

He was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team, with his favorite players being Stan Musial, Bob Gibson, and Lou Brock from his childhood. He passed this love on to his oldest son, and also coached one or both of his sons in little league baseball, t-ball, or coach pitch every year between 1989 and 1997, including the 1992 Ye Ole Country Store team which tied for the Bourbon Ball League Championship.

He was also an avid follower of both the St. Louis football Cardinals and Rams during their time in St. Louis, as well as Blues Hockey.

He was an avid viewer and collector of movies, with some of his favorites being the Princess Bride, Ghostbusters, ET, and The Majestic.

He was also a keen student of history, with particular interest in World War II and the Civil War.

He frequently read in his spare time, with his favorite author being Robert Ludlum.

In his younger years, Kevin worked briefly at the USPS (I believe as a substitute letter carrier, but this needs verification), and then performed maintenance on telephone lines for Southwestern Bell Telephone. He suffered a back injury during this work, however, and became an operator for Southwestern Bell, then AT&T, and then Southwestern Bell again.

During his time at these jobs, he was active in and thoroughly enjoyed playing company slow-pitch softball. In approximately 1992 or 1993, his team won the companywide championship, held in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Raised a member of his mother's United Church of Christ, he converted to Catholicism in preparation for his marriage. His confirmation (saint's) name was Kevin, just to keep things simple.

He was married to [Redacted- Living Person] on May 23, 1980 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Florissant, Missouri. The couple made their home initially in Dellwood, St. Louis County, on Kappel Drive just off West Florissant.

His eldest son, Daniel Michael (the author of this bio), was born February 19, 1983 at St. John's Hospital in Creve Coeur, St. Louis County. [Redacted - Living Person] was added to the mix in 1985 [exact date omitted for privacy].

The family lived in Dellwood with a larger outdoor dog named Rollo (died c. 1986-87) and then a beagle named Bambi (c. 1987-1997) until approximately 1987, when they moved in with his wife's parents at Seven Hills, Florissant while their new house in Woodland Lakes, Washington County, was being constructed.

In approximately 1988, they moved in at that house at the corner of North Lakeshore and Horizon, just about 1/2 mile from the general store operated by his wife's parents. With 14 Lakes in the Woodland Lakes development, Kevin greatly enjoyed regular casual fishing with his kids and mother-in-law, among others, and was a multi-time trophy winner in the Ye Ole Country Store annual fishing derby, which rewarded the heaviest fish caught in Woodland Lakes during the season. While living in Woodland Lakes, Kevin commuted about an hour daily to work each way, eventually working at Southwestern Bell's call center attached to Crestwood Mall.

It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Kevin by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Kevin:
