Joseph Cummings, son of Benjamin Cummings and Sarah (Grover) Cummings, was born on 8 April 1753 at Killingly, Windham, Connecticut.[1]
He married Temperance Nye on 7 March 1777 at Brookfield, Worcester, Massachusetts.[2][1]
Joseph Cummings served for Massachusetts Militia under command of Captain Alex (or Amos?) (or Gideon?) Foster - Bristol County Militia or Middlesex County Militia.
Joseph died on 29 June 1826 at Ware, Hampshire County, Massachusetts and was buried at West Cemetery, Ware, Hampshire County, Massachusetts. His memorial has photos, biographical material and links to those of family members.[1]
