DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with William by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with William:
There is a William Cunningham who served as executor of the will of Richard Moore in Harrison, Virginia (now WV) in 1815. This was possibly a son-in-law, as Richard Moore had a daughter Aseny (Asenath, a Biblical name) Cunningham. The will is posted at Richard's profile. I know William Cunningham is not an unusual name, but the Harrison VA location suggests a possible match. The link to this profile's ancestry.com tree is now broken, so I can't check the tree to see if there's a connection.
