1862 - Pay voucher indicates he was paid $90 for the year as a 1st Lieutenant in Company D, 11th Arkansas Regiment.
1863, Aug 1 - Taken prisoner near Washington, Mississippi
1863 Sept 26 - Sent north to POW camp (Johnson Island in Ohio)
1865 June 11 - Released from POW camp after taking oath of allegiance to the U.S. Document says he has light hair, light complexion, grey eyes, and was 5 feet 10 inches tall.
