Rose CURNOW was born in Middlesex in about March 1841. [1]. Her birth was registered during the period January to March 1841 in Bethnal Green, Middlesex, England. Her Mother's maiden name was FRANKLIN. [2] Rose was living with Matthew Curnow and Sarah at 11 Chapel Street, Bethnal Green on the night of the 6 June 1841. Matthew married Sarah FRANKLIN in Newington, Surrey, in 1825. [3]
Bethnal Green
On the 6 June 1841, Rose was three months old and living with her parents, Matthew, 35, and Sarah, 35. They lived in No. 11, Chapel Street, Bethnal Green. There were four other CURNOW children and two families by the name of HART and CURNICK. Matthew was a tin plate worker. He, Sarah and the oldest boy, George CURNOW, were born outside Middlesex. The other CURNOWs, including Rose, were born in Middlesex. [1] The entries in the census were as follows:
