Fred was the son of John and Jennie (Hill) Currier, and the brother of Helen, Frank, Madeline, Alfred, Donald, Richard, Hazel, and Jean. His father was a farmer and painter in Coos County, New Hampshire. Frank married Sharon Beale, and they had three children. Frank served in the US Air Force between 1957 - 1960 as a parachute specialist stationed in Dover, Delaware and Africa.
