Biography

Sarah Curry Roberts was born in Key West, Florida on January 16, 1864 to William S. Curry and Alecia Pinder (both from the Bahamas), she passed away on May 21, 1934 and was buried on May 22, 1934; according to the database for Florida Deaths between 1877-1939. [1]

She is listed in her parent's household on the 1870 Census with her maternal grandmother in their home (Martha (Sawyer) Pinder born in 1799) [2] and on the 1880 Census with three siblings (Allen E. Curry, Martha W. Curry, and Mary E. Curry) in Key West, Monroe, Florida. [3] She is also listed with them on the 1885 Florida State Census in the same location. [4]

She married James H. Roberts in Monroe, Florida on July 4, 1887. [5][6] The couple is listed together on both: the 1910 Census [7]and the 1930 Census.[8]
