Hi Cynthia and Chris,

When the profiles were merged, your privacy setting changed from Unlisted to Open. If you plan to be active and create and adopt profiles and such, that's perfect. You need to have a reasonably public profile to do those things. If you'd rather keep to a stricter privacy policy at present, that’s fine, too. Just adjust the privacy settings by clicking on the lock in the upper right side of your profile.

Hi Claire

Did we follow directions properly on this? We both strive to be good stewards and provide the most accurate information that we can.

Thanks, Chris

Hi Chris,

Thank you for being careful! We appreciate good stewards here. :)

You did not do anything wrong.

When profiles are merged, the privacy level goes back to the basic "yellow lock" even if they were more private earlier. We just send that message out so that no one feels that their privacy is being stepped on. We don't want to do that at all.

Other than that, how are you getting on with WikiTree?

Hi Claire,

I made some progress last night, as I was able to go through the suggested matches on one of my GEDCOM files that I uploaded last year. Starting to get a handle on how to do things, as almost all of my work has been done on Ancestry and secondarily, Family Search.

Thanks, Chris

Yes, I do plan to add my tree, and I'd like to add my DNA, but sure how to do so.

I am currently researching my Revolutionary Patriots. There are quite a few, and I'm trying to document each line for DARA.
