It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
No problem. I was, also, making the connection because there is a son Amos in the 1850 census about the same age and the wife is named Jane. All ages are pretty consistent, too. Good luck with this one.
Curry-63 and Curry-2570 are not ready to be merged because: I do not see any clear evidence linking these two individuals. John is such a common name and Curry is not very rare either. Let's try to find a little more evidence before permanently merging these.
