Lucile was born in 1935. She was the daughter of James Curry and Mabel Archer. She passed away in 2009.

Lucile Benson, 94, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2009, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Lucile was born December 13, 1914 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to James Calvin Curry, Sr. and Mabel Archer Curry.

She was united in marriage to Clarence Benson on November 9, 1935 in Ada, Oklahoma. Lucile loved her family and had many interests, including buying gifts for her grandchildren, playing bridge with friends and family, solving crossword puzzles, cryptoquotes and reading. Lucile also enjoyed her Sunday school class. Outings to OU football games were a favorite pastime for Lucile, Clarence, Gayle and Doyle. She also enjoyed traveling to many places in the United States. Lucile attended East Central University of Ada, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Math.

She is survived by her granddaughters: Elaine Stults and husband, Douglas; Sandi Wright and husband, Wayne; and Judy Pierson; all of Oklahoma City; her great-grandchildren: Whitney, Kyle, Eric and Brooke Stults; Sean and Paul Wright; Tiffany Day and husband, Patrick; Courtney Wright; Tony, Jason and Christopher Durning; and Brandon Wilson; her great-great-grandson, Justin Day; her sister-in-law, Janet Curry, of Oklahoma City; and son-in-law, Doyle Pierson of Moore. Lucile is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Benson; daughter, Gayle Pierson; sisters: Catherine Goldrick, Frances Wood, and Ruth Ruoff; and brother, Rev. Dr. J.C. Curry, Jr.
