John Curry married Virginia Wanless and settled on Back Alleghany. During the war he was taken prisoner and kept until peace was ratified and the prisoners released. He then located in Barbour County.[1]
Notes
The author made an obvious error in listing Virginia Wanless as John's spouse. Marriage certificate shows spouse is Virginia Cunningham and she shows up only a few houses away from John on the 1850 census. I'm still researching if Virginia Wanless married John at a later date. Virginia Wanless shows up on the 1860 census, not living with John.
