Biography
Eugene or Owen Curry born about 1739 at Dunaha, near Queran, in West Corca Vaskin. "The family were originally seated at Ballycowrey, not fare from Ennis in the County of Clare. [1]
Eugene, known as Owen Mor or Big Owen, was the son of Melachlin Mor Curry. [2]
Eugene married about 1783 to Hannah Ni Maddagin [Catherine Madigan]. [3]
Children included:
- Malachi or Maolsheachlainn O'Comhraidhe kept a hedge school died in 1849, [4] aged 61.
- Joseph employed in the Gas House in Limerick
- Owen or Eugene born in Dec 1794
- Anthony followed his brother Eugene to Limerick, then Dublin
