Eliza was born in 1811, Dublin Street, Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland, daughter of Richard Curtis and Margaret Langley. [1]
She probably died in infancy, one of 'three infants' mentioned on the Inscription on grave stone at St Mary's Clonmel:
"Sacred to the memory of Margaret Curtis, late wife of Richard Curtis, of this town, who departed this life March 19th 1820, aged 36 years. Also Charles Curtis, son of the above, who died June 28th 1819, aged 9 years. And three other children, who died in their infancy. Them which sleep in Jesus shall God bring with Him."[2]
