Thankful Curtis, daughter of Thomas Curtis and Thankful Crandall, was born on 28 June 1785 in Rhode Island. ^[1]

Thankful was wed to John Dodge Crandall on 7 July 1804 in Westerly, Washington county, Rhode Island. Thankful and John had eleven children:
