Marriage record shows John Curtis married Atha Ann Floyd 7-09-1839 in Upson, Georgia. Shortly after John and Athy were in the 1840 Census in Simpson County, Mississippi, living next house to Atha's father Samuel Floyd, and had one male child under the age of 5. John was age 15 thru 19 and Atha was age 20 thru 29. Don't know the name of the son.
