George and Anson Curtis moved with their families, sisters Anna Eliza and Harriet, and mother Hanna Pardee Curtis sometime after 1847 but before 1850. George is listed as a skilled tradesman the same as his father Joel, so he might have worked in the wagon factory in Ellisville (ref page 124 A History of Fulton County Illinois in Spoon River Country, 1818-1968). There are a number of residents in the 1850 census that list their occupation as wagon maker, blacksmith, cooper, etc. George later moved to Chicago where he worked as a machinist and died there. Anson moved to Avon to farm and he died there. Anna married James Peterson and they lived in Ellisville their entire life. James died while visiting his son Arthur in Arkansas but was sent back to be buried with Anna. (Notes from G. Peterson)
