Biography

When William V. Curtis was born on April 26, 1827, in Mississippi, his father, Solomon, was 30 and his mother, Charlotte, was 19. He married Martha Jane Lyles on January 18, 1852, in Ripley, Mississippi. They had 12 children in 25 years. He died on December 17, 1892, in Winston, Alabama, at the age of 65.
