Biography

Mary Ann was born in 1843. She passed away in 1900.

Mary Ann, daughter of William and Anne Curtis, was baptised at St Mary, East Ruston on 29 June 1845.^[1] Her birth may have been registered in 1844, with a mother' maiden name of Waters.^[2] William Curtis married Ann Waterson at East Ruston in 1838; his father was William, hers was Samuel.^[3]

She married Benjamin Howard Breeze in the Tunstead district in the third quarter of 1868.^[4]

At the 1871 census Mary Ann Breeze was living in East Ruston with per parents - William (56 East Ruston) and Ann (61 Hemsted) Curtis, and had two young children with her - William 2 and Mary Ann 0.^[5]

By 1881 she and her mother were both widows, and Mary Ann had one more child, May born about 1872. Also in the household was Ann's brother John Waterson (64 East Ruston).^[6]
