Biography

Rose was born about 1838 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. She was the eldest child of Denis CUSH and Ann MARTIN.[1]

She married George Henry LETHBRIDGE on 19 May, 1870 at the Presbyterian Mance, Watt Street, Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia.[2]

Rose passed away on 15 September, 1915 at 56 Hunter Street, West Maitland, New South Wales, Australia.[3][4][5] G. T. LETHBRIDGE (son) was named as the informant.[1]

She was buried with her father in the Campbell's Hill Cemetery, at Telarah, New South Wales, Australia.[4][5] Fred LETHBRIDGE and H. W. LETHBRIDGE were witnesses to the burial.[1]

Death of Mrs. G. H. Lethbridge.
After an illness extending over twelve months, the death occurred at 11.30 this morning of Mrs. Rose Lethbridge, widow of the late Mr. George Henry Lethbridge, who died on July 6 inst. The deceased was one of the oldest residents of the Horse Shoe Bend, where she resided continuously for over 60 years, and was very highly respected. She was a daughter of the late Mr. Dennis Cush, and was a native of Sydney, where she was born 77 years ago. She came to Maitland with her parents when a young girl. She leaves a family of six sons, viz., Messrs. George, Jack, Charles, Herbert, Frederick and Henry Lethbridge, also a step-son (Mr. Richard Cush). There is one of her brothers (Mr. James Cush) and one sister ( Mrs. Fred, Vernon) surviving, and much sympathy will be felt with the family in their sad bereavement. The funeral is announced to leave deceased's late residence, Hunter-street, to-morrow.(Thursday) afternoon at three o'clock for Campbell's Hill cemetery.[5]
