The key source document for this family is A genealogical deduction of the family of Rose of Kilravock. This source, page 382, provides that the name used by this lady was Magdalen, albeit that some web sources suggest Beatrix. The source provides that she was a daughter of George Cuthbert of Castlehill and Magdalen Fraser, the daughter of James Fraser of Brae.

She was the third wife of Hugh Rose, 15th of Kilravock. The source is not forthcoming with the date of marriage, but it seems probable to have been about 1700, nor the year of her death but she must have died prior to 1704 when Sir Hugh married for the fourth time.
