Thomas Ralph Cuthbertson was born in 1863 in Paynesville, Victoria, Australia, the son of Jane Eleanor (Ryder) Cuthbertson and John Cuthbertson.^[1]

He married Catherine Frances Hutchinson in 1892 in Victoria.^[2] Their children were:^[3]

• Arthur Henry Cuthbertson (1893–1971)
• Stanley Cuthbertson (1895–?)
• Irene Isabellea Cuthbertson (1899–?)
• Percival Ralph Cuthbertson (1901–?)
• Ellen Jean Cuthbertson (1904–1968)

Thomas died on 22 October 1953 at his daughter's home, 7 Munro Street, Ascot Vale, Victoria, aged 90 years.^[3][4]
