Gershom Cutter was born on April 1, 1679, in Cambridge, Middlesex, Massachusetts[1][2]. He was the son of Gershom and Lydia (Hall) Cutter. Gershom married Mehitable Abbott[3] on June 11, 1701, in Cambridge[4][2]. They had 12 children[5][6]:
