Mary was born in 1849. She is the daughter of John Cutts and Elizabeth Robinson. [1] She was christened on 4 Nov 1849 at St Mary the Virgin Church, Barnsley, Yorkshire. [2]

Mary's father, brothers William and John, and cousin and step brother, George were killed in the Lundhill Colliery Explosion on 9 February 1857

Mary married George Fish on 20 December 1869 at Cawthorne, Yorkshire. [3]
