Biography

Francois Cyre was born 3 June 1747. He was the son of Jean Baptiste Cyr and Marguerite Cormier. He was baptized 28 Apr 1748 at Beaubassin. His godparents were Jean Baptiste Cormier and Cecile Tibodo.[1][2]

He married Marie Anne Guilbault in 1770 in Ekoupahag.[3]

He was one of the pioneers of the Madawaska Settlement in 1785.

He passed away on 28 July 1832 at about 88 years of age, and was interred on the 30th in Saint-Basile. Were present at the funeral Joseph and Alexis Cyr.[4]
