NINA A. BLANKENSHIP, 91, of Wayne, W.Va., went to join her husband with the Lord Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2009, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, by Pastor Bill Blankenship and Pastor Otis Bowens. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. She was born May 21, 1917, in Wayne County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Charley and Christina Fraley Cyrus. Nina was a homemaker and Methodist by faith. Her husband, Henry Lee Blankenship, also preceded her in death, along with three sisters, Eunice Arthur, Gladys Adkins and Violet Stephens; four brothers, Homer, Dewey, Silas and Gallie Cyrus; two grandchildren, David Allen and John Paul Reeves; and a son-in-law, James Reeves. Survivors include three daughters, Gypsy Fields and husband Buck, Sally Reeves with whom she made her home for the past 7-1/2 years, Hazel Fields and husband Alvin, all of Wayne; four grandchildren, Annette Skeens and husband Mike, Lee Reeves and wife Katrina, Gordan Fields and wife Amy and Randall Fields and wife Diane; three great-grandchildren, Ashley Reeves, Dylan and Shelby Fields. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Morris Funeral Home. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. McCormick and the nursing staff of the TCU Unit at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Pallbearers will be Lee Reeves, Gordon Fields, Randall Fields, Dylan Fields, Mike Skeens, Mike Fraley, Scott Fraley, Lloyd Blankenship and Leslie Raymond Heath.
