Smith Cyrus died 1874. His will was dated 6 Dec 1873 and probated 9-3-74 in Wayne County, west Virginia. He named his daughters: Emily, Arvena Bartram, Margaret J., Elizabeth, Recy Canterberry, and Phillies Canterberry. His sons were: Enoch, Albert, Marshall, Jesa, and Smith. Also named was his grandson, Henry Smith Cyrus the son of Albert Cyrus. Witnesses to the will were: Absalom Ballenger and Jarriat P. Rigg.[2]
