OBITUARY: Ronald "Ronnie" Richard Córdova Sr., age 63, passed away, surrounded by family, on January 26, 2018 in Gilbert, Arizona. Ronald was born on October 12, 1954 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ronald was son of ᵻSesario C. and Frances (Tafoya) Córdova. Ronald is survived by sons, Ronnie Jr. and his wife, Angelica, Juan S. and his wife, Georgina and Jason A. and his wife, Veronica and daughter, Marisa I. Córdova, his grandchildren, Jolene, Jessica, Klaryssa and Ronald III, Juan Jr. and Anabella, Vanessa and Felicia, Jacob and Elisa and great-grandchildren, Michael Jr. and Delilah, and his siblings, Charlie and his wife, Florence, Viola and her husband, Charles, Geraldine, Robert, Mariano, Stevie and his wife, Janet and Ivan and his wife, Wilma as well as several nieces and nephews and other relatives. Ronnie was a long time resident of Albuquerque, before moving to Oregon and finally, Arizona with family. Ronnie was a loving and supportive, larger than life man, father and grandfather and loved watching his grandchildren grow and play sports. Ronnie enjoyed watching baseball, auto racing, basketball and football but he especially enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and his beloved the University of New Mexico Lobos. Ronnie will be deeply missed. A memorial service, celebrating Ronnie will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Avenue SE, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Family and friends are welcome to gather immediately following the service at The Vintage Room Reception Center located on the property.
