Biography

Victor was born in 1908. He was the son of Edward D'Arcy and Sarah Thompson. He passed away in 1985 at the age of 77. The D'Arcy men were generally small in stature, Vic was 5 feet 5 inches tall and of a similar height to his father. He joined the AIF in 1940 and was demobilised in 1944.

My father served in the AIF between 1940 and 1944. If was a great shock to me when as a 4 year old this man invaded the life I had established with my mother. My brother Bruce then arrived and life changed for all. Brian
