Pierre Daigle was born in 1681 in Port-Royal, Acadie, Nouvelle-France, son of Olivier Daigre (abt. 1643–bef. 1686) and Marie Gaudet (abt. 1650–1734).[1]
In 1686, at Port Royal, Pierre, aged 5, was living with his stepfather, Jean FARDEL, aged 46, and his mother, Marie Godet [sic], aged 36, and his six siblings: Bernard, aged 16, Louis, aged 13, Olivier, aged 12, Jean, aged 10, Marie, aged 9, and Anne, aged 7. The family owned 1 gun and was living on 5 arpents of cultivable land with 13 cattle, 9 sheep and 8 hogs.[2]
Pierre died in 1716 in Acadie, aged 35.[1]
at Port Royal: Jean FARDEL 46, Marie GODET 36; children: Bernard 16, Louis 13, Olivier 12, Jean 10, Marie 9, Anne 7, Pierre 5; 1 gun, 5 arpents, 13 cattle, 9 sheep,8 hogs. The original 1686 census at Port Royal had a note added later saying that the children were from the marriage of Olivier Daigle and Marie Gaudet. Gaudet was listed as Godet.
