Warren Dailey was born at Livermore, Maine (then in Massachusetts), on 6 Apr 1792, the son of Ebenezer "Nezer" Dailey and Lydia (Paine) (Drinkwater) Dailey. His last name is rendered as "Daile" in the birth record, but "Dailey" is the correct spelling, as shown in most of the records referencing this family. His first name is given as "Waren," but "Warren" is the spelling found in other records referencing him.[1]
Marriages
In an undated entry, the town clerk of Livermore, Maine, certified that "an intention of marriage between Mr. Warren Dailey & Miss Mary Stetson Soper both of Livermore hath been entered with me and published in the Town of Livermore as the Law directs."[2] They married at Livermore on 20 Jan 1822.[3]
Sometime after the death of his first wife in 1846 and the census of 1850, when he was living with his children at Livermore, Maine, with no spouse,[4] and before the census of 1870,[5] Warren Dailey married Mercy S. (Unknown).
Death
No record has been found of the death of Warren Dailey. In 1880, he was living at Turner, Maine, with his age recorded as 86, with his wife, Mercy S. Dailey, 60.[6] On 7 Nov 1881, Mercy S. Dailey filed a petition with the probate court of Androscoggin County, Maine, asking that Thomas S. Bonney be appointed to administer the estate of her husband, Warren Dailey of Turner, deceased.[7]
