Lucien Daillencourt was born in Anzin, Nord on 15 March 1886, the son of Léon Daillencourt and Florence Dufour He married Louise Eugénie Aline Marie Dehaut in Fresnes-sur-Escaut on 25 November 1913. As a second lieutenant, he received the Legion of Honour and the Croix de Guerre with palm in 1916, and was promoted to an officer of the Legion of Honour in 1918 during the Great War. He had a son, Christian, in 1919.
In 1920, Lucien entered the Office de la Reconstruction industrielle in Reims and built his enterprise of buildings and public works. He was a judge on the tribunal de commerce. He served as the president of the Association rémoise des membres de la Légion d’honneur from 1950 until his death in Reims on 12 January 1969. A street in Reims, Rue Lucien Daillencourt, as well as its cul-de-sac, Impasse Lucien Daillencourt, was named for him.
