A leaf taken from the family bible of Lewis Martin (1762-1852) and Elizabeth Dains Martin (1777-1867) documenting the birth dates of immediate family members. It was submitted in court by Elizabeth Martin on March 31, 1853 as proof of her marriage to Lewis Martin, along with her marriage certificate, when she made application for a Revolutionary War widow's pension. She stated to judge Benjamin Ross that she was aged seventy five years and that she had been married to Lewis martin on March 15, 1792, and that her name before her marriage was Elisabeth Dains. Her pension was granted on July 15, 1853. Ralph Polen.
