Biography

James Dayns was born ye 28th day of July. 1716. [1] He was the son of Ephraim Daynes and Sarah Pasmouth.[2]

"James Deans; and Elizabeth Rood, were Married to Each other october ye 11th 1738 [by] Henry Willes, Pastor of ye 2nd Church in Norwich."[3]

James passed away in about 1779.

Consistently, the recorded births (in Norwich, Connecticut) of the "Dayns, Dean, Deane, Deanes, Deans, Dains" children is after their recorded baptisms at the Norwich Church.

The discrepancy in dob and baptism dates could be a calendar system issue. James Dayns was born in Norwich, New London County, Connecticut Colony on 28 July, 1716 to parents Ephraim Daynes and Sarah Pasmouth. [4][2]
