Biography

Robert Emmett Daley was born on 30 Nov 1905 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee, son of Patrick John Daley (1872 - 1955) and Eva Leona (Pennell) Daley (1881 - 1952).

His siblings were:

Robert died on 23 Sep 1955 in Grand Rapids, Kent, Michigan aged 49.

Robert E. Daley, about 48, whose last known address was 55 Lexington av., NW, died Friday afternoon from alcohol poisoning, Dr. G.F. Barofsky, medical examiner, said. Police were called to the New York Central railroad tracks, just north of Lake Michigan dr., NW, by an unidentified railroad worker who noticed the prostrate bodies of Mr. Daley and three drinking companions.

Empty whisky and wine bottles as well as an empty can of heating fuel, were found at the scene, Dr. Barofsky said.

Mr. Daley had been unemployed the last two to three years, Dr. Barofsky quoted a member of his family as saying. His father, John P. Daley, 81, died Sept. 15.

Mr. Daley is survived by two brothers, Patrick of Elgin, Ill., and John P. of Grand Rapids.

The body is at the Arsulowicz funeral home. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's church. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery.
