Biography
The Honourable Hew North Dalrymple was born in 1910. He was the son of John Dalrymple, Earl of Stair (in Scotland, United Kingdom), and Violet (Harford) Dalrymple, Countess of Stair.
He married Mildred Helen (Egerton) Browne in 1938 in Chelsea, London, England, United Kingdom. [1]
He served in the Second World War, in Burma (now Myanmar) and North Africa. He was a captain in the 2nd Battalion, Black Watch (Territorial Army).
He was Deputy Lieutenant of Ayrshire (Scotland) in 1955. [2]
His wife Mildred (Egerton) Dalrymple passed away in 1980. He married Helen Phillips in 1983.
He was living in Ballantrae, Ayrshire, in the year 2003.
He passed away in 2012 at the age of 102.
