Biography
Marriage records filed in Halifax AND Hants Counties, but marriage took place in Elmsdale (Presbyterian).
We've found records of John and Martha having three different sons named John.
John was born 9 Oct 1869, but there is no record beyond his birth, which was just before John and Martha were married. He was not recorded on the 1871 census, but their next son William Frederick was.
John B.'s only record of existence is a gravestone next to John and Martha's in Elmsdale, NS. His date of birth was Sept 1885, and he died 3 Jan 1888.
John Christie was born 12 Jan 1889 and lived to old age.
When we look at their other children, from different census records, we see a gap where John B. could have been born in 1885:
