DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with David by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share DNA with David:

The David's father listed here, Timothy, was born 1715 by his own deposition when he was about 53: see Bedford County VA Court Order Book 3: page 480.

The date of birth for David, 1725, is a reasonable date based on a law suit against him for debt when he legally had to be 21 at that time: Brunswick Co VA Court Order Book 3: 63.

Therefore, 10 year old Timothy (b. 1715) cannot be the father of David (b. 1725).
