William Gallihue Dalton b 2 Sep 1768 Beaver Island, Rockingham Co NC, the son of Samuel Dalton II and Charlotte Gallihue (Gallahue) d 1820, Opelausus, LA; He married 18 Jan 1789, Delilah Holstein, daughter of Stephen and Judith (King) Holstein, and widow of James Ireson.[1]

Merged this profile with Dalton-1538 William Dalton. Did not find any sources that verify that Samuel Dalton & Charlotte had two sons named William. Can only find this info on his brother: Capt. William Dalton b 1736, Albemarle, VA, d 16 Jan 1819, Sumner, TN. He md Rachel Harris abt 1760, Albemarle, VA, daughter of Maj. Robert Harris and Mourning Glenn.[4]
