William Michael Dalton was born about 1786 to George William Dalton and Winneyford Wiggington Dalton.

Marriage

He married Winifred Foster. [1]

They had several children born to this Union. Their children were Daniel, Booker, David Daniel, Elizabeth Ann, Jenetter Jencey, Malinda Malvina, Martha, Mary and Winefred.

Military

A William Dalton served as a private in the War of 1812 under Captain Andew Coombs Company of the Kentucky Militia, commanded by Lieutenant Colonel John Francisco from Feb 8, 1815 to Mar 7, 1815. [2]

Page 5 of the census shows Wm Dalton (72), wife W (75), son Booker (50), and then E {female} (27), JH {male} (6), N {female} (4), MJ{female} (0) living in the home. William and his wife were born in Virginia and the rest in Kentucky. William is a farmer. [4]

1860 - Kentucky, Allen County, New Roe, Scottsville Post Office, 29 Jun 1860
PAge 279 of the census shows Daniel Dalton (42), wife Nancy (38) and children WF (18), JE (15), DB (12), MAEC (10), ME (8), FW (2) Sally (9 months) and William (72) living on the farm. Daniel reports his real estate is valued at $700 and his personal estate is valued at $500. William reports her personal estate is valued at $100. All report they were born in Kentucky but for William who was born in Virginia. [5]
