Biography

Mary Ann Dalton was born in 1844, the daughter of Isaac and Sarah Ann Shockley Dalton. She married John Floyd Shockley 8 Jan 1862 in Carroll County, Virginia. [1]They had at least eight children including the following:

  1. Mittie Lucretia Shockley
  2. Heath Harlow Shockley[2]

Her husband died early at the age of 46. By 1900, Mary Ann was living with her two children, Mittie and Heath.
