Biography
Philip was born about 1774 based on his age at death of 92 at Little Catalina. The Dalton Family of Catalina claim that the founder of that branch of the Dalton family, Philip Dalton, was the same man who was born in Western Bay, Newfoundland to Matthew and Mary Dalton. There is evidence in the Catalina Church records there was a marriage in 1843 of Elizabeth Dalton of Western Bay. He passed away in 1866.
