Biography

Caroline Louisa Daly, child of Dominic Daly & Caroline Maria, was baptised in 21 Janv 1833 in Quebec, Québec, Canada.^[1]

Carolline was an artist, whose work is featured in one of eastern Canada's most prominent galleries, the Confederation Centre Art Gallery in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. ^[2]

She moved to England when her father's Canadian posting ended. ^{[3] [4]}, before moving with her family to Adelaide when her father was posted there.

She married Henry Hobhouse Turton on 9 August 1866 in Trinity Church [Adelaide], Adelaide, South Australia, Australia.^[5]

In the 1881 census Caroline (age 45) was the married head of household in Bath Road Sea Villa, Holdenhurst, Hampshire, England. Her daughter Violet was aged 4. ^[6]

Caroline died on 9 October 1893 in Bournemouth, Dorset, England and their estate passed probate on 17 January 1894 in London, England.^[7]
