Wedding Bells. The womenfolk of Norseman were early astir on Friday morning last, August 1, the occasion being the marriage of Mr. J. E. Scholey, son of Mr. J. R. Scholey and the late Mrs. Scholey, to Miss Constance Daly, eldest daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. J. Daly. The cere tmony took place at the Anglican Church, which was decorated by the bride's friends, the Rev. Cracknell officiating. The bride was daintily attired in a cream serge costume trimmed with cream lace, and wore a white panne velvet hat to match. She entered the church with her brother, who gave her away.
The bride, in lieu of the customary bouquet, carried a white ivory Bible and was attended by her sister, Miss Edna, dressed in white crepe de chine trimmed with silver beads and a helio hat. Mr. A. Bursill, uncle of the bride, acted, as best man. After the ceremony the bridal party motored to the residence of the bride's mother, where the wedding breakfast was served. The happy couple left by train en route for Perth amid showers of rice and confetti and good wishes. Many useful and valuable presents were received.[2]
Connie passed away on 8 April 1987 and is buried in the Esperance Cemetery.[3]
