John Charles Greenwood, son of John and Mary Ann, was born at Ashfield in 1834. At the time of his marriage at Araluen in 1880 to Catherine Daly, he was a carpenter and living at Araluen. He was not listed in Greville's Directory. John and Catherine had no children. Catherine died in 1901 and is buried at Araluen. John died in 1913 at Araluen, occupation carpenter and labourer, and is also buried at Araluen. [4]

Both husband and wife were residents of Araluen at the time of the marriage.(Myles Hannan has been unable to discover Catherine's maiden name; the surname "Daly" was the name she acquired from her first husband.)
