"Lord Archibald Douglass arrived with his family about 1725 on a chartered vessel from Scotland, landing in New Castle County, Delaware. His family included four sons... No concrete evidence has surfaced as to the name of the wife of Lord Archibald Douglass. There are several sources online which detail several candidates. One name which appears regularly is Elizabeth Louise Daly whom he is said to have married in 1685 in Edinburgh."[1]
