Nellie was born about 1865. She is the daughter of Joseph Dame and Almeda Stoel.

Nellie was born about 1865 in Freeport, IL. She first married William Colin McRae in 1889 in Bayfield, WI. William and Nellie had a son, Cecil Duncan McRae, born 1890 in Chicago, IL. Second she married Dennis Comeford in in 1891. Thirdly she married Burton Howard Hissong in 1919 in Joliet, IL. She is in the 1920 census with Burton, but by 1930 he is living with his daughter (from a previous marriage) and listed as a widow.
