Risjen (name variants include called Rutsjen, Rusjen, and Russia) was a daughter of Jan Corneliszen Damen and his wife Sofia (Fytje) Martens.
Disputed Birth Date
Numerous online genealogies confidently assert that Rutsjen|Risjen Damen was born in 1685 and was baptized at the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, New York, on 11 October 1685. This is in fact the date of her husband's baptism in the Kingston church. No baptism record for her has been found at Kingston or elsewhere, but the New Amsterdam Reformed Dutch Church records list the baptism of her sister Geesje on 1 November 1685 for her Sister Geesje, suggesting that the 11 October 1685 date is impossible. Schulze estimates that Rutsjen was born in 1687.
Record of baptism at the Kingston, NY, Reformed Dutch Church (KRDC) does not necessarily indicate that the persons baptized were born or lived there. The Kingston RDC was the central repository of church records for all baptisms and weddings conducted in Ulster and Orange Counties, NY, and parts of Essex, NJ and Pike, PA. Ceremonies and rites were performed by Domimie circuit riders. Many baptisms were conducted by circuit-rider Domines who visited local meeting houses to perform ceremonies.
Rutsjen last sponsored a baptism recorded at KRDC in 1736.
She was still living in February 1750 when Pieter Van Aken's will was written and named wife Rusje and son Eliphas as executors. It listed sons Eliphas, Marinus, Jan, Cornelius, Gideon and Petrus. The will described Peter as "of Bucks County, Pennsylvania," but it was proved in New York.

Damen-42 and Damen-3 appear to represent the same person because: Same person. I've revised the birthdate on Damen-3 consistent with sources, so they now both have the same birthdate. Death information on both profiles seems to be based on guessing. Both Ulster County, New York, and Somerset County, New Jersey are possible locations.
Damen-3 is the project-protected profile. No conflicts between parents.
