Research Progress

From Family Search: GSMM-14Y on Familysearch tree states following children:

  1. Cornelius ROBERTS (Born 1793; Died: 1849)
  2. Winnie ROBERTS (Born: 1796; Died: 1870 in Wise County, Virginia); Married: George STANLEY about 1818 in Pike County, Kentucky. [note: marriage not in Floyd County, KY marriage index. Pike was not formed until after marriage occurred]
  3. Betsy ROBERTS (Born: 1797; Died: 1845) Married: 7 September 1818 in Floyd County, Kentucky to William MULLINS[2] - Notes From Familysearch: Colonel James Daniel Roberts Sr. has a will with a probate date of 1 Jun 1858 in Pike, KY. His son in law is William Mullins. It is a fact that Wm. Francis married a woman named Betsy Roberts on 13 Jul 1809 in Floyd, KY[2] but this is not the same Elizabeth Roberts with a mother named Nancy Ann Damron and the will proves that. The Elizabeth Roberts that married Wm. Mullins (m.1818) did so after the marriage between Betsy Roberts and Wm. Francis (m.1809) took place but before that Betsy was done having children with Wm. Francis (1828). So they can't be the same woman.
  4. Mary Ann ROBERTS (Born: 1800; Died: 21 September 1864 in Pound, Wise County, Virginia); Married: 29 March 1813 in Floyd County, Kentucky to Sherwood MULLINS - Floyd County KY Marriage bonds file 232; Book 1 p. 35
  5. Isaac ROBERTS (Born: 1801; Died: 17 March 1865); 5 October 1845 in Tazewell County, VA to Dorcas MULLINS - 1850 in Wyoming County, Virginia, 1860 in McDowell County, Virginia
  6. Eleanor ROBERTS (Born: 1803; Died: 1870 in Magoffin County, Kentucky); Married: Ezekiel N. GULLETT - Check book 1 p. 161 and file 733 in Floyd County, KY Marriages. referenced Eleanor ROBERTS married in 1821.
  7. James Daniel ROBERTS, Jr. (Born: 1809; Died: 1880 in Pike County, KY); FamilySearch has several marriages - Married: 27 July 1826 in Pike County, Kentucky to Nancy BONEY; Married: about 1860 in Pike County, Kentucky to Mary Polly POTTER; Married: Charity Henrietta CRABTREE (children 1821 - 1830 all listed with mother's maiden name); Married: Tabitha Dorcas SWEENY (2 children 1838 - 1841)

Damron-105 and Dameron-141 appear to represent the same person because: LNAB should be Dameron. Many generations back are Dameron. Please approve merge.

reversing the merge would be great as long as a. k. a. dameron is included so that new members with the alternate spelling would see that and help avoid future duplicates

Damron-105 and Dameron-141 are not ready to be merged because: Needs to be 141 merged into 105 instead

Damron-105 and Dameron-141 appear to represent the same person because: birth dates and marriages match slight difference in death date and last name has common difference in spelling.
